Janet Cornelia Pofahl (Start), age 96, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Pofahl; son, Jerry Pofahl; parents Jerry and Jenny Start. She will be remembered by her children Sandra (Larry) Arendsen and Susan (Stanley) Ketchel; grandchildren Rodney, Ryan, Ross, Erika, Kevin, Nathan, and Mindi; 16 great-grandchildren; and many friends.
Janet’s favorite thing to do was visiting with friends and family. She loved to share her stories about life in India and witness her faith to others.
A Celebration of Janet’s Life will commence 1 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023 at First Reformed Church of Grandville, 3060 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Pastor Matt Cook will be officiating. In honor of Janet and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Emmanuel Hospice or First Reformed Church of Grandville. Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery.
