Jim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict from 1962-1966. He was a self-employed home builder. A master of his trade, he not only supported his family, but generously used his skills and talents to help so many family members and loved ones. Serving others was one of his greatest joys. He was a man with so much gratitude. He was constantly expressing his thanks and appreciation every place he went. He had so much pride in serving his country that he proudly sported his Marine hat whenever he could. Jim was such an admirable and gentle man with the most contagious smile and loving spirit that left a lasting impression on all who knew him and those he met along the way.
