George Barrett

George Barrett, age 62, went to be with his Lord Thursday, July 23, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Mildred Barrett; in-laws Raymond and Dolores McMahon; and siblings Priscilla Cesak and Kenneth Barrett.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Sandy Barrett; children James Patrick Barrett and Ryan Joseph Barrett; and siblings Linda (Richard) Smiley, Ross Barrett; sister-in-law Diane (Richard) Turek. George was a beloved uncle and great-uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and had many good friends.

George worked in the trucking industry his whole career. He started as a warehouseman and worked his way up to VP of Operations. He enjoyed going to concerts with his favorite band being AC/DC. In his younger years, he played volleyball and softball, eventually ending up being an umpire and also a referee in basketball. George also enjoyed golf outings. He loved to go to Grand Haven a couple times a year to walk the pier and around town.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
