Eleanor Mae Fredricks

Eleanor Mae Fredricks went home to her God on October 10, 2020. She was born July 8, 1942. She was preceded in death by her precious husband, Arthur Alvin Fredricks in 1993. She leaves behind her dear daughters Laurie (Ken) Koning and Amy (Tim) Mannard. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren Miranda (Bill) Daniels, Joshua (Kaylie) Mannard, Trevor (Kari) Mannard, Jessie (Matt) Miller, Joey (Kayla) Mannard, Kyle (Becca) Koning, Kyric Koning, Kelvyn Koning, Kendyle Koning, and Kameryan Koning; ten great-grandchildren; siblings Fran (Wilbur) Dick, Paul (Kathy) Smits; from her Fredricks family Bill Fredricks, Rich (Marilyn) Fredricks, Shirley VandePol, and Jan (Al) Gelder; and many nieces and nephews.

Eleanor was born and raised near McBain, Michigan. She was salutatorian of her senior class there. She came to the Grand Rapids area in 1960 and married and raised her family in Jenison - attending Baldwin CRC. Eleanor loved working in retail clothing and later at the Georgetown Library. She loved helping people and serving her Lord. She once helped out at a local elementary school - mentoring a special student. Eleanor moved to Mecosta in 2018 and loved her new home at Royal View Retirement Community. We are thankful to Laura and the entire staff for the excellent care and love they gave to Eleanor. Memorial contributions can be made to Royal View or Degage Ministries.

A Celebration of Eleanor’s Life will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin Street, Jenison, MI 49428 with visitation one hour prior.
