I am very sad to hear of Don's passing. I have been a neighbor in Arizona for almost 20 years. Don was always a kind and upbeat man, ready to go, ready with a quip--the kind of guy that makes others smile.  That is how I remember Don.

Dear Bev & Family, I worked with Don for several years at the credit union before he retired and so enjoyed his stories.  He always brought a smile to my face and was a special blessing to us all. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I've known Don for 82 years.  Our fathers were best friends and fraternity brothers at MSU.  Our families would get together in our pre-teen years in Lansing.  Our parents enjoyed cruising together and taking MSU alumni travel trips later in life.  We both graduated from Sexton High in Lansing and spent time at MSU.  I always enjoyed hearing Don's analysis of Spartan athletic events especially football and basketball.  Don is a true friend.  I miss him.

The Durner family was very saddened to hear about the passing of Don.  All of the Fisk family members were part of our family for over 50 years. We own a cottage  on Stony Lake and were neighbors for as long as I can remember.    We have so many wonderful memories of our families together.... fishing, swimming, sharing a meal on their deck  overlooking beautiful Stony Lake. Sunsets that would just take your breath away. Don was the center of the family, eager to share a joke, never the same one twice as my husband Pat would say. The Fisk  family and our family truly understood lake life and enjoyed it to its fullest. Pat and I especially enjoyed watching the Fisk grandchildren fish off the dock or in the rowboat and play baseball in the front yard. They were a happy family.  We loved  to hear the grandkids laugh and have fun. Don loved his family and they loved him.  When Don and Bev sold their cottage, it was a " big miss"  for all of us....but we knew it was the best thing for them.  I guess you could say, a new adventure for Don and Bev.  They were family people and that was very special to see. Thank you Don for the great friendship. God is good, all the time.

We moved next to Don and Bev into our winter Sahuarita home in 2020 when covid hit  Don greeted us with a huge smile and welcome  H e loved to talk and share advice 
You couldnt have asked for nicer neighbors   We enjoyed cards and dinners and trips to the casino ..  to Dons'  family we send our deepest sympathy with hugs and prayers

My thoughts and prayers go out to Bev and her family and all of Don’s friends of which I am pleased to call myself.  Don was always kind, and And quick with a joke.  He was always there when I needed a ride either from the airport or to the airport, no matter what time it was.  I never saw him get angry with anybody, and he exhibited much patience. I always appreciated being invited over for dinner with Don and Bev, And to watch sporting events. Don had great faith in his savior Jesus Christ, and I know that he has met him and is at peace. He will be missed, but will always be in my thoughts and memories.
