Dennis was born in 1948. He was a 1966 graduate of Wyoming Park High School and graduated in 1970 from Grand Valley State University with a degree in chemistry. Denny worked as a ceramic chemist at Internal Grinding Abrasives from 1971 - 2000.
Denny loved the Lord and his church family - Grandville United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wilson and Delores Stickney and his sister, Cheryl Palmbos. Denny leaves behind to grieve his loss his wife of 50 years, Julie Stickney; son, Cory (Kristina) Stickney and their children Ava, Graham, Uriah, Haven, of Allendale; and son, Curt Stickney of Fruitport. Also surviving are his sister, Karen (Tom) Bottum; brothers-in-law Glenn Palmbos, Craig (Carol) Raymond; and many special cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Denny will be remembered for his dedication to his family, grandchildren, and his work ethic, love of his GTO, and love of bass fishing that rubbed off on his sons. Den had a fun-loving, adventurous spirit. Denny’s passion after retirement from I.G.A. was refurbishing and fitting kids with youth football equipment for the youth rocket football programs.
