Christine Frost

Christine Margaret Frost (VanSingel), age 48, went to be with her Lord Friday, October 21, 2022. Christy was preceded in death by her father, Robert J. VanSingel. She will be remembered by her husband, John Frost; children Darrien and Hannah; mother, Mary Beth VanSingel; brother, Scott Robert VanSingel; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Christy had many things that she was proud of, including: attending National University San Diego while working full-time and earned her bachelor's degree; getting pregnant with Hannah after being told that she would not be able to bear children; serving her church in many different ways (Bible study, Women's Impact, choir, Sunday morning greeter); and making sure Hannah went to Sunday school and various youth group activities through the church. She also worked very hard to become sober and this she did mostly for the love she had for her family.

Christy had many things that she enjoyed too. She loved to plan "FUN." Fun activities for the family like (Christmas tree cutting, pumpkin patches and corn mazes, movie outings, roller skating at Terry Hall. Nice dinners at home or going out for special meals at restaurants and planning birthday parties too. She loved to plan these activities as much as participating in them! She was always thinking about how other people would enjoy these activities and it made her happy to bring joy to other people. She loved sweets! Fresh peach pie from the Essenhaus, Crumbl Cookies, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Tippy Cow ice cream, Marybeth's banket pastry at Christmastime. Because she loved these things, she would make a point to share it with others; whether the family, friends, or co-workers, Christy loved to share good things with others. There were other things she enjoyed too (things just for her) - going to the spa for massages, getting her hair done at Heathers Salon in Three Rivers, getting pedicures, going shopping, and always...shoe shopping!!

A Memorial Celebration of Christy’s Life will commence 11 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2022 at ResLife Church (Res Center doors E or H), 5100 Ivanrest Ave. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Visitation with relatives and friends will take place two hours prior to the service starting at 9 a.m. Pastor Karen Waldhart will be officiating.
