Bruce Lee Riemersma

He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Yvonne Riemersma, whom he married on July 31, 1964; parents Charles and Zelma Riemersma; and siblings Craig Riemersma, Lance Riemersma, and sister-in-law Kris Riemersma.

He will be remembered by his children Todd (Sara) Riemersma and Lisa (Darren) LaPrise; grandchildren Preston, Carson, Regan, Griffin and Crosby; sister-in-law, Kathie (Sid) Disbrow; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Bruce worked for over 50 years in the auto body and specialty car painting business at Neal’s Auto Body in Grand Rapids. He loved his grandchildren and loved attending their various activities. Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching western movies, collecting coins, bowling, traveling with his wife and, in his youth, racing cars.

Visitation with relatives and friends will be held from 6 - 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Cook Funeral Home (West Building), 4235 Prairie, S.W., Grandville, Michigan. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019, with visitation one hour prior, at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie, S.W., Grandville, MI 49418. Dear friend, Dave Stebleton, will be officiating. Interment is at Woodlawn Cemetery.

In honor of Bruce and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to offset funeral expenses or to Faith Hospice.
