Bravard will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Nan Sherwood, Brenda and Rob Reynolds; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren Kiel and Amy Sherwood, Brittany and Matt McDonnell (Aidan, Alec, Gavin, Garrett, Lainey), Casey and Cody Sorenson (Oliver, Benton, Sage).
Bravard made friends wherever he went. He just had a knack for getting people talking. Bravard began his career in various roles with West Michigan Nail and Lumber. He worked for over 30 years with the Teamsters as a business agent. In retirement, he served as a funeral service assistant and driver for Cook Funeral Home and Rivertown Coach. Bravard was always busy, and was always making a deal. He served many years on the condo association board in Florida where he and Charlotte took their vacations. They lived much of their life in West Michigan, and moved to Lake St. Louis, Missouri to be near their family as they grew older. Despite his age, Bravard was always up for a drive, or to ride along with someone, no matter where they were going; he never wanted to be sitting still.
A memorial gathering with food and fellowship will be held from 12-2 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2024, his birthday, at Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Shriners Hospital for Children. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in their guestbook online.
