Billie Gordon Croll

Billie T. Croll, who loved to be called Mom, Grandma, and GG, departed her loving family December 18, 2023. Billie was born in Detroit, Michigan December 26, 1931 to Addie Ruth (Carnal) Tarter and Frank Bryant Tarter. She married Robert Croll in the spring of 1954 in Detroit, Michigan. They became parents to Megan Leslie (1960) and Daniel Robert (1964).

Billie was very proud to be a graduate of Northwestern High School in Detroit, Michigan, took business courses at Wayne State University, and was the head of the secretarial pool for Ford Motor Company. After her children were born, her interests included her own ceramics business where she taught four days a week, being an avid reader, a master seamstress, and knitter. If anyone needed an outfit or costume, she always up to the task. There never was a time when either Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, or Willie Nelson was on the radio that she wouldn't sing along.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Frank Tarter; brother, Frank Tarter Jr.; husband, Robert Croll; and companion, Donald Glazier. She is survived by her daughter, Megan Heyl; son, Dan Croll; grandchildren Evan Sharp and Brynn Geerlings; and four great-grandchildren.

The family held a private funeral, with the entombment at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi, Michigan.
