Barbara Ann Bailey (Atwood), age 93, went to be with her heavenly Father July 15, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert S. Bailey Jr.; daughter, Barbara Jean Bailey; daughter-in-law, Vicki Ryan; grandson, Wayne Nyhuis; great-grandson, Hank Apple; sisters Goldie Witte, Betty Eastway, Mildred Ross, Rose Murray, and Jessie Tawney; brothers William Atwood, Robert Atwood; and her parents James and Elsie (Hoskins) Atwood.
Barb will be lovingly remembered by her two sons Randy (Deb) Bailey and Robert (Tami) Bailey Ill; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Barb was a member of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church. She worked at Meijer Thrifty Acres for 42 years. She was a member of the Wandering Wigwam camping club, and of the Red Hatters, and worked at the food pantry for John Knox Presbyterian Church. She loved to bake, and many appreciated her cakes.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 21 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 3152 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming, MI, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Pastor Mike Baynai officiating. A luncheon to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bob and Barb Bailey Memorial Fund at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 4472 Breton Rd.
