Alvin Hoffman, age 87, went to be with his Lord Thursday, July 29, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Hoffman; son, Randy Hoffman; siblings Norman Hoffman and Gloria Belt. He is survived by his children Ronald Jay Hoffman and Kathryn (Andrew) Brainard; siblings Mary Jillson, Bonnie Hall, and Lavonne Funk; and dog, Darla.
Alvin proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Rowe International for 38 years. Over the years, he used his superior building skills to build three different houses. Alvin loved to bowl, but his favorite pastime was following his beloved Tigers.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to service.
