Perry T. Mann, 79, of Raytown, MO passed away January 8, 2018. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. After he completed his duty, he went on to eventually become a valued employee of Kansas City ATA for 38 years.
Perry was a star athlete in his high school years. He excelled in cross country and track. Once in the Air Force he was honored by being chosen for the First Five Basketball Team. He won the King Louie Open in bowling in 1981. He was a repeat champion in the ATA Golf Tournament. Perry also won the league championship in horseshoes along with hundreds of trophies over the years. Lastly, he even achieved the rare Hole in One in August 2001.
Perry adored no one more than his wife and best friend of 58 years, Jo Nell. The only things he loved as much as his family include golf, bowling, horseshoes, and travel. Those who know him loved him. Those who rode with him prayed. He will forever be loved and missed. I doubt we will ever pass by a beautiful green course, set of horseshoes or an episode of Jerry without smiling at the thought of him.
Perry is preceded in death by his daughter, Alisa. He leaves behind his wife, Jo Nell of the home; son, Perry Jr., Pittsburg MO; 2 daughters, Lora (Ray) Christian, Richmond MO and Christina (Bob) Hudson, Raytown MO; 2 sisters, Shirley Czoch, Pahrump NV and Sheryl Boren of South Bend IN; 2 brothers, Ron and Tom Mann, Houston TX; 11 grandchildren, Nicole (Brian) Davy, Springfield MO, Melissa (Jeremy) Newell, Blue Springs MO, Starling (Chris) Brown, Grain Valley MO, Travis Windham, Oak Grove MO, Jamie Christian, Richmond MO, Kayce (Ross) Newsom, Willard MO, Shelby Hudson, Oak Grove MO; Zachary Hudson, Raytown MO, Jessie Gardner, Bolivar MO, Samantha Mann, Morrisville MO and Shelby Mann, Springfield MO.
