Sue married Raymond “Shad” Gerschefske on July 12, 1952 at Reese Air Force Base, Lubbock, TX. They were married over 42 years before his passing.
Moving to Kansas City with Shad’s job, she was always a loyal Chiefs fan and was happy to see them win 3 Super Bowls during her lifetime. She traveled after his passing, making a trip to Europe, and enjoying many Holy Trinity bus trips.
Preceding her in death, their daughter Suzanne in 1965, Shad in 1995, and her sister Bobbie Ashburn in 2008.
