Gary Prendergast, 87, Peculiar, MO passed away Feb. 23, 2022. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM Tuesday, March 1 at St. Sabina Catholic Church, Belton, MO followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Family requests contributions to The Alzheimer Assoc. or to the church.
Gary was born in Spirit Lake, Iowa and lived in the K.C. area since 1961. He worked as an engineer for Black and Veatch for over 40 years before his retirement. He was a member of St. Sabina Catholic Church. Gary was an avid genealogy researcher and author of several papers for his family. His parents, Grace and Everett Prendergast; his in-laws, Frank and Ethel Peterson; a sister, Mona Lee Prendergast; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Prendergast; a sister-in-law, Alice Boettcher and his beloved Basset Hound, Chloe, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Frances; a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Marsha Prendergast; a daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Eddie Peek; a brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Sue Prendergast; 2 grandsons and their wives, Darren and Dakota Prendergast, Eddie, Jr. and Misty Peek; and 3 great grandchildren.
