Delbert Richard Ward, 66, of Kansas City, MO passed away at his home, October 20, 2016. Visitation 9-11am, October 29, 2016 at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 12913 Grandview Rd. Grandview, MO. Burial in the Benjamin Cemetery, Amoret, MO., Oct. 29, 2016 at 2pm. The son of Everett and Laurnell Ward born on Jan. 6, 1950 in Yakima, Washington. Delbert was raised in Grandview and graduated from Grandview High School. He was a Navy veteran and had a civilian career as a machinist. He was a member of the Optimist Club and enjoyed donating his time to Harvesters. Delbert loved to hunt, play poker & pool and spend time with his family. He was a friend to everyone he met and never knew a stranger. Delbert is survived by daughter, Trena Ward; granddaughters, Destyne & Jasmine; mother, Laurnell Ward; brother, Leslie Ward; sisters, Sharon Davidson, Minverva Depriest & Charlene Huey.
