Dale James Shafer

Dale James Shafer was born on the 21st of May, 1964 to James Erwin Shafer and Juanita Faye Shafer in Waterloo, Iowa. He was a member of the graduating class of 1984 at La Porte City High School. He then proceeded to be a hard working family man pursuing multiple career opportunities including warehouse supervisor, regional truck driver and other endeavors. In his time of leisure he enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, camping and many other outdoor activities. He had a strong passion for the Iowa Hawkeyes, KC Chiefs and Royals. Dale was a very caring, loving, and giving man who enjoyed spending quality time with his dearest loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his father James Erwin Shafer. He is survived by his mother Jaunita Faye Abing; his son Andrew Shafer and wife Autumn; his son Zachariah Shafer and significant other Lauren; his beloved grandchildren, Kymberlee, Kyndrah, Kayden and Brody; and multiple other relatives residing in Virginia and Wisconsin. He will be missed dearly by all who loved him.
