Betty Jane Rector

Betty J Rector, age 89, of Clinton, Missouri passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at her home in Clinton MO. Born on October 22, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John and Ermile Bradfield. Betty was married to the late L.H. Rector Jr. of Kansas City/Lake of the Ozarks.

Betty spent her work life as an administrative assistant in several companies. She retired from working at a doctor’s office and since, enjoyed her children and grandchildren as much as possible.

Betty enjoyed her place at the Lake of the Ozarks fishing with her husband but also loved to be at home in Kansas City to be closer to her children and grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her daughter Vicki Bowen and husband Danny; son L.H. Gregory Rector III and wife Charrioty; son Jeffrey Rector and wife Nailia; grandsons Peter Pickel, Jamie Pickel and wife Brandi, Gabriel Pickel and wife Leslie, Ryan Rector and wife Chelsea Timour Rector, Robert Crepeau, and Corwin Stephenson; granddaughters Leisana Rector, Aliya Rector, Sara Combs and husband David, Rosemary Gregg and husband Dustin, Fiona Mawby-Adams and husband Dennis Hoenshell and great grandchildren Josie Pickel, Brice Pickel, Gavin Pickel, Peyton Pickel, Elijah Pickel, Faith Pickel, Easton Rector, Croix Rector, Whitley Rector, Serenity Hessenflow and husband Brian, Elijah Brewster, Anna Combs, Jaxon Combs, Danyelle Brewster, Destiny Gregg, Riley Gregg, Greyce Crepeau and Remi Stephenson. Also, her brother Richard Bradfield and wife Paula and sister Jeanie Mainard.

In addition to her husband L.H. (Herb) Rector, she was predeceased by her father and mother John and Ermile Bradfield, and her sister Janice Stoesz.

A visitation for Betty will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at McGilley & George Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 12913 Grandview Road, Grandview, MO 64030. A funeral will occur Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 10:00 AM, 12913 Grandview Road, Grandview, MO 64030. A burial will occur Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Rd., Leavenworth, KS 66048
