2022 at Research Medical Center. Barbara Blair was born in St. Louis, MO to her loving parents, Joseph and Florence Tibbitts on February 12, 1946. She grew up in De Soto, MO and Sedalia, MO. After high school she attended UMKC Conservatory of Music where she studied voice performance. She worked at various jobs throughout her life including Kansas City Hospice and Beyond Now Technologies. She had a deep love for dogs and enjoyed the companionship of many throughout her life. She also had a lifelong passion for music and enjoyed singing and playing the piano. Barbara was a believer in Jesus Christ and loved the Lord with all her heart. She treasured her church family and friends.
She is survived by her stepson, Steve Blair and wife Monica of Raymore, MO; stepdaughter, Suzanne Turner and husband, Clayton, Pleasant Hill MO; stepdaughter, Tammy Minor, Omaha NE; grandchildren, Chris Blair, Nate Blair, Mat Blair, Luke Turner and Morgan Blair; great grandchildren, Jacob Blair, Lincoln Turner, June Turner and Aria Blair. She also leaves behind her cousin Anne Tibbitts and other family members. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, sister Virginia Tibbitts and grandson, Jacob Blair.
Visitation will be Friday, August 26th at McGilley and George Funeral Home located at 12913 Grandview Rd., Grandview, MO 64030 from 9:30-10:30 am. The service will follow at 10:30am. Burial will be in the Missouri Veteran Cemetery in Higginsville, MO at 1:00 pm.
