Yvonne Marie Burger

Yvonne Marie Burger, age 61, passed away unexpectantly on Monday, July 24, 2017 while in the company of family. Yvonne was born in March of 1956 to Robert and Marilyn Groendyke in East Grand Rapids. Along with her mother Marilyn she is preceded in death by her infant son Nicholas and her brother Kevin. Yvonne is survived by her dear husband of 39 years, Dean Burger and their children Christopher (Katherine) Burger and Felicia Burger. Also surviving are her father Robert Groendyke; sister Roberta Baker; brother Dennis (Allison) Groendyke as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. She enjoyed her work as a para-educator for the Wyoming Public Schools. Yvonne will be fondly remembered as a loving and committed wife and mother. She enjoyed nothing more than time spent with her family and friends. She was an extremely creative and talented artist, often sharing her works with friends. Visitation will be held at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 5-8pm. Yvonne’s funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 11am. An additional hour of visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral beginning at 10am.
