Tom Roger Pearson

July, 4, 1938 – February 24, 2013

Tom starts writing the story of his life with a “bang” on the 4th of July 1938. He was born the first child of Walter and Ruth (Gelderbloom) Pearson. Chapters 2 & 3 were completed with the arrival of his brothers Ross Pearson and Paul Pearson. Then in July 1960 he married Linda Berry. They started their family while in the United States Army with the arrival of their first child Kristy. Shortly after, Susan and Jay arrived. Many chapters later find the family growing again thru the addition of sons in law Ed Chatman and John Boll, grandson Christopher Miller and great grandson Jayden Miller. Tom was a retiree of Spartan Stores and enjoyed his free time watching U of M sports and trying his luck at the casinos. He spent several winters in Key West Florida and will be missed greatly by his “porkie Yorkie” Buddy.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Linda; children, Kristy (Ed) Chatman, Susan (John) Boll and Jay Pearson; grandson, Christopher Miller, great grandson Jayden Miller; brothers, Ross Pearson, Paul (Jan) Pearson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lyle and Vonna Berry, Carl and Rita Berry, Harold and Sally Berry, Judy Berry, Nancy Williams and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Tom’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family services will be held.
