Tex V. Woods

Tex Woods, age 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 27, 2017 while in the comfort of his home and in the company of family. He was born in the Spring of 1947 to the late John and Opal Woods in Samburg TN. Tex is preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his cherished wife of 38 years, Barbara J. [Zoulek] and his children Tex (Theresa) and Sarah Duke. Also surviving are his many grand and great grandchildren and brothers Rev. John and Bob Woods as well as his best friend Max. Tex was an active member in the Grand Valley Cap ‘N’ Ballers Muzzle Loading Gun Club and will be fondly remembered as an accomplished guitarist. He has performed locally for over 40 years and toured the Midwest as a lead guitarist! Visitation will be held at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 6-8pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11am. An additional hour of visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral beginning at 10am.
