Sue was one of our best friends for 40 years. As with everyone else, she was so nurturing and kind and would do anything for us.  Alot of wonderful memories over these years and am so grateful Sue came into our lives. I can't imagine life without Sue.  However, she's at peace and smiling at us mortals on earth.  God Bless!!

I love you so much. I miss u already im just glad my last words to you were i love you... The way i remember you is at grandparents weekend, and the donut eating contest :) how the first time i shoved the whole donut im my mouth at once. then you whispered to me,"Eat it slow, small bites chew fast." then kissed me on my cheek. oh and ur super cold hands that always made me laugh. i love you more then anything in life. I will visit you with ur mints alot. I love you so much.

Oh Mom, where do I begin?  I love you so very much, more than words can say.  You have always been my biggest fan and the one person who I could never disappoint.  Throughout my life, many people told me "you are so much like your mother."  I hope you know what a compliment that was to me because I have never known anyone who was as selfless and amazing as you were or looked up to someone the way I looked up to you!  There has never been a day when I did not feel your love for me (and recently for Chris and Leah as well, who I know you adored because you told me so :). I was so very lucky to have been blessed to have had you for my mom and I thank God for that everyday!  
Now that you are gone, my heart is broken and I know that my life will never ever be the same.  I still can't believe that you are gone forever and that I will never again be able to call you or wrap my arms around you...
Thank you for making my life so wonderful and for loving me so very much!  I look forward to the day when I will again be able to see you for I will miss you every day of my life!!  I love you, Mom!  May you finally be at peace and without pain and in the company of Angels.

Dear Larry

I had the pleasure of working with your dear sweet wife during the 1970's at Old Kent Bank.  She was in Marketing and I was the new in Human Resourses.   Marketing and Human Resourses were good friends during those times and I always found Sue to be very nice to work with.  I am so very sorry for your loss.  I have not seen Sue in years and can only imagine your pain and loss.  She certainly was a wonderful woman and such fun to work with when we were both much younger.

We were so sad to hear Sue passed away. You are in our thoughts and prayers. What a pretty lady, I enjoyed seeing the pictures. She was always so much fun I remember how much we laughed while working on HOT DOG lunches at school and especially at the SLOW MOTION softball games and after parties.

Larry, Brenda and Tracie - You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time!  I remember Sue was always welcoming with hug when we came to your house as kids.  What a great lady and she will be missed.  Love to all..

This is certainly a sad time for anyone who has known Sue.  Her warm smile and easy laugh will be missed by all of us who knew her, but none more than those of you who have been closest to her.  You, Larry, Brenda, Chuck, Marie, Trevor, Tracie, Chris and Leah are very much in our hearts and prayers now.  Though generous and loving with so many of us, you were the light of her life!  May you find comfort in knowing that many of us count ourselves fortunate to have known such a delightful person!  May you experience encouragement in knowing that her legacy lives on through her daughters. Through hers and your guidance, Larry, they have grown into wonderful women.  In turn, they are touching the lives of those they know, most especially their families.  May the wonderful memories shared with each of her grandchildren be recorded in their hearts.  May those memories be a constant reminder that they have, indeed, been cherished beyond words by their grandmother.  In short, may God comfort, strengthen, and encourage you. To the Deane family: My name is Sandy "Parker" Curtiss and I would like to share some wonderful memories I had being friends with Sue and growing up next door to the Tibbett family. Sue & I were both 8 years old and we became  best friends. I was included in many family outings, I remember going camping with them to Silver Lake in Hart, visiting Grandma Purdy weekly, and my brother "Rog: and I going to church on Sundays.  Rog always said Sue was his first big crush. Best of all just sitting on our front porch with Sue watching the cars go by, giggling when we would get honked at & just chatting & being together.  Sue & I walked to school together every day for 10 years and when the weather was bad she would always call me to say her mother was going to drive us, they never forgot me. We were all very close with the family. After graduation we drifted apart for a few years when my 8 year niece Tracy Zylstra, passed away from brain cancer, Sue was there for us, helping to gather all the things a little girl could accumulate in 8 short years. Sue opened her heart and home to my sister Jan and me. She had a huge garage sale with all Tracy;s precious items that were so very hard for us get rid of.  Jan & I will be eternally grateful. I never met you Brenda or Tracie, but your mother impacted our life more than she would ever know. I would like to think she can hear our big "THANK YOU" in heaven where we know she is.  We were all blessed to know her.

Tracie-Although the years have pasted & I have not see you or your family since high school, I still have the fondest memories of going over to your house as a kid. Your mom always made me feel welcome.  Not only was she a beautiful person on the outside; she was also a beautiful person on the inside and I know she loved you & your family more than words can ever express.  It is truly a tremendous loss for those of us still on earth, but a gain for heaven.  You & your family are in our thoughts & prayers.

Uncle Larry, Brenda and Family, and Tracie and Family - I always enjoyed our family get togethers.  It was usually pretty funny listening to the "adult" talk and goofing around with the cousins.  Aunt Sue was alway funny and ready with a good laugh - she definitely was a fun Aunt!  She has some good company up there in Heaven with her parents and sister and her in-laws - hope she is hanging with my Mom and Aunt Sandy!
