Scott Douglas Ames, aged 67, of Plainfield Township passed away August 19, 2020.
Scott had a long career with Spartan Foods and served as a union representative there. He was also a Teamster’s agent for several years. Scott had a great fondness for dogs and leaves his beloved Layla behind. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy, in 2002 and his father, William in 2004. He is survived by his sister, Susan Ames(Tony) Vander Woude; nephews, Bret (Lee) Vander Woude and their children, Devin, Dillon, Logan and Brenna; Brady (Sharla) Vander Woude and their children, Ben and Kaden and niece, Sara (Ben) Oldham. Scott enjoyed spending time with his family at the cottage on Lake Michigan and his family enjoyed him. He will be missed. Because of the current Covid-19 pandemic circumstances, there will be no service. The family will honor Scott’s life at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
