He was a Godly, Christian man. Throughout his life and before Sam lost his vision, he loved the competition of playing different board, table and card games, as well as dice. Sam was also a voracious reader. The longer and bigger the book, the better! He had a phenomenal photographic memory and he was excellent with recalling numbers, dates, times and his passion, the weather! Sam had a focused, creative and disciplined mind.
Sam had a green thumb and grew a big, wonderful, garden of nutritional vegetables for his family and his neighbors. Sam also enjoyed trading in the stock market because of his love of finances, numbers, and competition.
He was also known for his dry, witty sense of humor. He loved to get a reaction! He was very social and loved interacting with people, always in a humorous, kind, fair and Christian manner.
Sam’s family is thankful that he showed them how to live a Godly life.
His family will remember and miss him immensely, but expect to be with him again someday.
Sam is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Helen Hilton, and his sister, Karen Lyn Hilton.
