A true patriot, Ray felt the call to serve his country during the Vietnam War. He enlisted in the Navy and proudly served for 30 years; retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. He enjoyed sharing his experiences and showing off his numerous medals and honors he earned during his career.
Friends and family were most important to him, and he treasured the time he spent with everyone. As member of the Sault Tribe of the Chippewa Indians, he enjoyed researching genealogy. He also loved day trips to the casino and talking all things military.
Visitation for Ray will be held on Friday April 18, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel where a funeral service with military honors will follow at 6:00 p.m.
