Randy William Wood

Randy William Wood “Woody” a.k.a. Red Rocker, age 59 of Grand Rapids, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020. Born on October 14, 1960 to Donald and Ruth Wood.He was preceded in death by his dearest companion “Carver” and parents Donald and Ruth Wood.Randy will be missed by his puppy “Layla” and will be fondly remembered by many of his closest friends and family, Children; Catherine (Jeremy), Dustin (Jacqueline), Grandchildren; Austin, Alexus, Mackenzie, Jackson, Siblings Donald (Terry), Daniel (Anita Sue), Rickey (Tamie), and nine beloved nieces and nephews. Randy was a compassionate, loving caring man, a mentor, who would give you the shirt off his back. He was a hard worker and known by many as a “scrapper”, he loved anything to do with cars, especially NASCAR and lifted trucks. When Randy a.k.a “Sammy” entered a room with his bright smile, yellow sunglasses and red shoes the party started.

Family was always first for Randy he showed so much love for his grandkids by supporting them in school events, sports (Softball and Football), and so much more. He always loved attending NASCAR events with his brothers, cousins, and friends. The most notable is his love for lifted trucks and his extensive vehicle family. Randy was a one of a kind who left way to soon and will be missed by his family and many friends.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life for Randy will be held at a later date.
