On June 2, 1982 Pat married the love of her life, Steve Dood.
For 20 years, Pat worked as a nurse’s aide. Considering how caring, attentive, and hardworking she was, this was the perfect job for Pat. She very rarely took a day off, and always came to work with a positive attitude. After her time in the healthcare field, Pat worked for Wynalda Litho Packaging in Belmont until retiring. Even as a working wife and mom, Pat still made sure there was dinner ready for her family, kept the house in order, and made sure her husband and children were taken care of. She loved to decorate their home for the holidays; Pat would always go that extra mile to make their house feel like a home.
As a follower of Jesus, Pat kept her faith close to her heart. Pat enjoyed gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers. She also loved animals, especially her kitties, Libby and Bandit. Pat embraced her fancy side, and loved to shop and accessorize.
Pat was very proud of her children and grandchildren, and would often brag about their various accomplishments and goings on to her friends. Her children were equally as proud to have Pat as a mom; she was always there for support and sacrificed a lot for them. Pat could do something simple that would have a huge impact on her family, she was exceptional at making everyone around her feel loved.
Pat is survived by her husband of 40 years, Steve; children Michelle (Jodey Leser) Bartosiewicz, Brett (Sarah) Dood, and Matt (Gi) Chase; grandchildren Jacob, Joshua, Jettson, and Jovianna; and Aunt Irene Ryba. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Stella, as well as her sister Kathy Bartosiewicz.
Visitation will take place Thursday, October 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel. Funeral services will take place following at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Brett Dood officiating. Pat will be laid to rest at Blythefield Memory Gardens.
