Mickie Jane McKay

Mickie Jane (Kowalczyk) McKay passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Mickie is preceded in death by her husband Gerald W. McKay, her brothers Ralph Kowal and Thomas Kowalczyk. Surviving are her daughter Kathleen Jane Reynolds and Kathleen’s husband William H. Reynolds Jr.,and her companion and very special friend Richard C. Jacobs. Also surviving are her grandchildren William (Julia) Reynolds, Robert (Tracee) Reynolds, Michelle (Thomas) Barnes, Melissa (David) Ishbia, Brian Reynolds; her great-grandchildren, Liam, Edward, Colin, Connor, and Carson. Mickie was an avid gardener, who always loved her flowers and bird watching. She was a Tigers and Red Wings fan through and through. Mickie also had a passion for knitting, card games and just being active outdoors. She was also a very dedicated and involved family person. Please join the family for visitation at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 2-4pm and 6 -8pm, with the rosary being prayed at 8:00pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Sacrament Parish on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11am with an additional hour visitation will be held prior to the mass at church. Entombment in Rosedale Cemetery. Please consider a memorial contribution in honor of Mickie to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or Blessed Sacrament Parish.
