Mary Jayne Borrello went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 11th, 2019. A true trophy of God's grace, she will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. She was the beloved wife of the late John for 68 years. Mary is survived by her sister Lila (the late Rev. Elwood) Jensen, children Mike Borrello, Tim (Deb) Borrello, Sue (Norm) Knapp and Sally Borrello, grandchildren Angie (Steve) Landon, Lacey (Mark) Cunningham, Nikki (Ben) Gladd, Amber Borrello, Jonathon Borrello, Sara Borrello, Rachelle (Zack) Robinson and great grandchildren Daphne Cunningham, Betsy Cunningham, Judah Gladd, Evan Landon, Simon Gladd, Janie Landon, Sadie Cunningham and Lily Cunningham.
Mary Jayne's life of service to her Lord is long and varied, touching countless lives around the world. From her faithful witness to those in Grand Rapids, to her tireless efforts on the mission field with her daughter, Sally, Mary Jayne lived a life of unwavering devotion, faithfully living out the proclamation of the Gospel. Most notably, Mary Jayne began the pro-life organization first known as Baptists for Life in 1982, which is now known as Life Matters Worldwide.
Her family is honored to have inherited her wisdom, boldness and conviction for Christ and to embrace a legacy that will continue to protect the unborn and impact young women around the world for years to come.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15th at 3pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 5pm at Ten25 Church, 2220 Three Mile Rd. NE in Grand Rapids.
