She is preceded in death by her spouse, Jerry Connell, son James "Wink" Connell, son-in-law John Maxim and grandson-in-law, John Fellows.
Louise is survived by her children Peg Maxim, Nancy (David) Huhn, Mary Jane (Gary) Connell, John (Liz) Connell, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Louise's family would like to think that the grim reaper lost her address years ago, as she cheated death many times, and still lived almost 102 years. Also, apologies to DTE...their natural gas sales will be severely decreased (Louise liked her house close to 76 degrees).
Louise will be remembered by so much, especially her love of playing Bridge, which led her to become a Lifetime Member of the Bridge Club of Grand Rapids. She was sharp as a tack, playing cards up until a week before her passing. Louise really enjoyed everything about Jeopardy except James Holzhauer, but she loved Ken Jennings. One of her regrets in life was never being able to fully master her remote control!
Louise was able to be apart of five different five generation photos with her family. She was an exceptional mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by many.
Louise's family invites you to celebrate her 101 years of life on Thursday, December 5 from 4-6 PM at Reyers North Valley Chapel. If you are unable to attend Visitation on Thursday, there will be an hour of continued time on Friday, December 6 from 11 AM until the Funeral Mass at 12 PM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
