Leo "PaPa" Chapman

Leo Charles Chapman age 83 of Grand Rapids, was called home to be with his Lord on Friday, March 16, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents and 7 siblings. Leo will be lovingly remembered by the love of his life Mary Jane his wife of 59 years, children; Sandie (Roy) DeHamer, Linda Lont, grandchildren; Heather (Scott) Horst, Aaron Harper, Joshua Harper, Jennifer (Tim) Prominski, Shawn Lont, great-grandchildren; Emily, Sarah, Nathan Horst, sister Trudy Zawacki, brother Richard Chapman, 2 brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. He enjoyed camping, golf and his yearly trips to Las Vegas. His sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Leo loved his family and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren became the joy of his life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 19, 2012 at St Jude Catholic Church 1120 4 Mile Rd NE with Rev. Tom Page as celebrant. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at the Reyers North Valley Chapel 2815 Fuller Ave NE. The Rosary will be prayed on Sunday at 6:30 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Lung Association.
