Kenneth "Pete" Elwin Petersen

Pete proudly served in the Naval Reserves for several years. In 1959, Pete married his high school sweetheart, Delores Moore in Greenville, MI. They spent over 60 years raising a family and making unforgettable memories together with their family, friends and of course, all of their beloved pets.

Retiring from the automotive industry, Pete spent his career as a parts manager. Shortly after retiring, Pete found work helping out a neighbor with their business. He was a hard worker who liked to stay busy, only slowing down the last couple of years out of necessity. If he wasn’t working, you could find him fishing, hunting, or tinkering around in his garage.

Pete was a member of the Moose Lodge #763 in Wyoming.

Together Pete and Delores traveled all over North America. Some of their favorite spots were Alaska, Hawaii, and Nova Scotia.

Pete loved and cherished each one of his grandchildren and his great-grandson.

Pete is survived by his wife, Delores; two children, Cheryl (David) Dodger and Mike (Stacy) Petersen; grandchildren, Ryan (Carola) Dodger, Aron (Jessica) Dodger, Kelly Petersen, Kyle Petersen, Kenny Petersen, and Kaitlyn Petersen; and one great-grandson, Corbin. He was preceded in death by his son, Todd Alan Petersen.

A private family service will be held.
