John Baas

John Baas, age 92. On August 28, 2020 John was ushered by angels to meet his Lord and Savior. He was the beloved husband of the late Arlene for 67 years. John is survived by children; Sharri Baas, Marilynn (Jim) Kujawa, Donna Sugimoto, JoAnn (Jerry) Van Eizenga, Laura (Michael) Miling, 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

John is preceded in death by parents; Walter and Dena Baas, son-in-law Bruce Sugimoto, sister Pearl Navis and Ruth Senneker, baby sister Wilma Baas, and grandson Aaron Baas.

He will be missed by many.

John was highly involved at Arcadia CRC in Michigan as a Deacon and Elder, as well as Bradenton CRC in Bradenton, Florida. John moved to Florida with his wife in 1984, and moved back to Michigan 3 years ago. He will be remembered for his love of his family, pranks and puns, spending time on hobbies of wood working and stained glass.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 1 from 5-8 PM at Reyers North Valley Chapel. John will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
