Jessie Margaret DeKubber

Jessie M. DeKubber, age 92, walked into the arms of her loving father Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She will be deeply missed by her children June (Roger) Vredenburg, Nancy Gillhespy and Philip (Kerrie) Dekubber; grandchildren Lisa (Nick) Smith, Michelle (Chad) Paepke, Timothy (Tammy) Gillhespy, Angie (Andy) Milinowsk, Shannon (Jared) Clement, Aaron (Jessica) DeKubber, Jason DeKubber, and Justin DeKubber; her many loving great grandchildren, and her lifelong friend Betty Jones. The family would like to thank nurses Holly and Rosemary for the loving care and outstanding support they have provided. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years George DeKubber; and her grandson Jodi Gillhespy. Jessie was a devote child of God; reading her bible daily and always praying for the wellbeing of her loved ones. Those who were close to Jessie knew that she was an avid reader with a new book always in her hands. Please join her family for a time of remembrance on Thursday January 24, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8PM at Reyers North Valley Chapel. The family will also greet friends from 1-2 PM on Saturday January 26, 2013 at Oakview Community Church, 4242 Plainfield Avenue NE Grand Rapids, MI 49525. The funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 2PM on Saturday January 26, 2013 at Oakview Community Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oakview Community Church or Hospice of Michigan.
