You were my special friend and we shared our love of country music and oh what fun we had for many years.  We had each other's back until you got sick.  Taking you for chicken wings and strawberry ice cream.  You are now whole and without pain.  Hope you have found some country singers up there to hang out with.  god bless you and thanks for all the fun years

Mike Flynn

Just a few quick and random thoughts about my Grandmother Fran Fletcher...Her smile was contagious and her laughter was straight from her heart and sincere. The bounce in her step when she was happy was unforgetable.  Love of berries (especially) strawberries and ice cream; Grape Kool-Aid, cooking, backing cookies, making crafts, gardening, country music, Lilac bushes, pink, purple, nearly all things sweet, and mostly her independent character.  She was a tremendous role model for all who new her.  She was fiscally responsible and a homeowner...free and clear from the bank. She was a good listener and allowed you to talk things through in order to figure out the best and most honest course of action to take. It wasnt her nature to ever tell me what I should do in any situation, she trusted I would.  She wasnt one to give advice, rather she would just ask a couple of questions that would help guide me in coming to the best decision.  She wasnt ever as surprised as I when I achieved a personal goal, because she believed in me all along.  Sometimes more than I believed in myself.  I'll miss many things about my grandmother, but most of all I will miss all the visits to her, whether it was when she babysat me in my youth when she would regularly make crafts with me, take me on bike rides,pick berries with me, take me to the local old fashion soda fountain shop for ice cream, or the old  5 & 10 store for a small toy, or when I would stop by frequently to visit her over lunch or take her to dinner the last 20 years or so.   The good times were many and I appreciate every moment and opportunity I had to spend time with her.  She made me proud by the she led a good, clean, responsible life.  As a kid, I remember her taking me to work and how everyone loved her dearly and couldnt wait to joke around with her becasue she had such a witty sense of humor.  I was able to observe her in my youth on several occassions while tagging alonside her at her job.  What a great example of what leadership looks like.  She got her hands dirty and worked right alongside those who worked for her and she did so at a quick pace...non stop and always on the go. She set the pace. Over the last 20 years she and I would often talk about how I had no doubt that she would live to be a 100.  We had a deal that she would give it her best shot.  She did, and I'm ok with her coming up short because the 40 years of my life with her was more than a blessing. I'll miss her honesty and her hugs.  God loves her and I know she is having the best time now in His kingdom and skipping along on her tour of it.  She was a tough cookie.  My kids will also miss their "Cookie Grandma".  -Sean Flynn (Grandson)
