Evelyn Lucille Parks

Parks, Evelyn Lucille (Lucy) Born May 27, 1931 in Comstock Park, Michigan to Theodore and Ethel Magoon, went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 6, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband Matt of 47 years 11 1/2 months, her parents, brother Theodore Robert Magoon, sister Theola Beard, brother Ralph Magoon, sister-in-law Mary Magoon, and niece Tammy. She is survived by her son Edward (Daphne), grandchildren Candace (Todd) Thompson, Paul (Sharon) Parks, 4 great-grandchildren, her brother Harold (Barbara) Magoon, sister Sandra (Arnie) Nowak, sister-in-law Betty Magoon as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She graduated from Comstock Park High School and was class valedictorian. Lucy worked for Sentry Insurance of Grand Rapids for 27 1/2 years in Group Health claims, sales and customer service. She was also an active member of First Free Methodist Church. Please join her family at Reyers North Valley Chapel for visitation on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 2-5pm. Additional visitation has been scheduled from 10-11am on Saturday, January 10, 2015 followed by her funeral service at 11am officiated by Chaplain Ila Flo Barfuss. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a hospice of your choice or Lifestream FMC.
