Elizabeth Fern Duffy

Elizabeth “Liz” Fern Duffy (Jacobson), age 93 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 17, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, daughters Nettie, Kathie, granddaughter Carmen and great granddaughter Kendra. She is survived by her children, Pat (Roger) Kozal, Robert (Dolores) Duffy Jr., Michael (Deb) Duffy, Colleen (Jack) Roersma, 19 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, as well as her dear church friends. She was also a foster mother to 13 children. She loved taking care of her home, cottage and her family. Her loved ones are left with many great memories of a strong woman who could do most anything. She loved to sew and crochet; she created many gifts for all of her family and friends throughout the years. She was a loving mom, grandma and great grandma. Liz was a long time member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 24 at 2:00 PM. She will repose one hour prior to Mass.
