Donald Jay Cook

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Kathy and three children; Nathan (Andrea) Cook of Caledonia, MI; Darren Cook of Overland Park, KS and Gina Cook of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by his brother Tim (Ann) Cook and his sister Dawn (Mike) Trasky, both of Grand Rapids; two grandchildren, Oliver and Asher Cook and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Don was a very kind and caring person. He was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church, playing piano and working in the children's ministries for many years. He loved to cook. During his later years, as his eyesight and health declined, he enjoyed cuddling with his dogs (Moe, Maggie and Max) and reading.

Don was employed at St. Mary's Hospital for 37 years, mostly as an Operating Room Tech. He was a friendly and reassuring face for many of his family and friends facing surgery.

Relatives and friends may meet the family at 10:00 Friday, November 12 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2050 Aberdeen St. NE, Grand Rapids, MI. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to the Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund or to Spectrum Hospice.
