Dennis Gordon Arp

Denny proudly served his country in the United States Navy with 4 years of dedicated service to our great nation. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Master Masons and was a Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Master Mason. Denny loved to spend time with his friends and family, deeply engaged conversation while often accompanied with some ice cold beverages. He was a social, fun-loving, people person who also had a strong will and passionate side. He was never afraid to ‘tell you like it is’ and was never one to shy away from honesty. Denny’s fun conversations, caring nature, and social personality will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dennis was preceded in death by: wife, Carolyn Arp; parents, Robert and Marie Arp; step-son, Shawn McComb; and very close uncle Don and Aunt Juanita.

Dennis is survived by: children, Scott (Jody) Arp, and Brenda (Bill) Ruder; grandchildren, Brianna, Phoenix, Bishop, Isaac, and Shawn McComb Jr.; great grandchild, Lucas; cousin, Mary (Hank) Hollander; as well as, many friends and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 11:30am - 1:00pm at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505. A burial with military honors will take place at 1:30pm, the same day, at Holy Cross Cemetery on Walker in Grand Rapids.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital.
