Dave was my double first cousin and I loved him more like a brother .
I will miss him deeply.  I know though that he is in Heaven and probably already fishing with Uncle Paul.  My prayers to Nan and the family.

Tim, Maria and I miss you so much- you will be deeply missed.  Maria looked so forward to playing with you on the floor, and your giggling with her.  I will miss all of our "engineering" discussions, and the constant talk of University of Michigan.  You were their biggest fan!  I will strive to be as good a person as you were. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nan and the family. I have known Dave since we moved in as his neighbor. Kids always look forward to the the special candy Dave keeps for them during Halloween time. I was saddened to learn of Dave's passing – It was unexpected to say the least.  Unfortunately, it was after the visitation and funeral services.

Please accept my condolences.  I worked with Dave at Herman Miller – we had fun joking around at the lunch table and while working on the Mirra chair.  I enjoyed his sense of humor and his dedication.  Dave was so proud of his children and family.  He will be missed.

Dave was such a delight - he always greeted me by name and was warm-hearted to everyone.  He was so proud of his family - always sharing pictures.  Dave was a lovely, kind, gentle man.  I'm so glad that I am able to say he was my friend.
May the Lord bless you, his family, and may God grant you strength, peace, and the comfort that He is now with his Savior.

I,m sorry to here of Dave's passing. I have good memories of working with him also car pooling and he took me fishing once. Our prayers go out to Nan and the family.

Dear Nan, Elizabeth, Diana and David Junior, Drew and I are devastated by the loss of my brother, David. I will miss him so very much and pray for him and your family. David was one of the lost trusted and honest persons In have ever known. He was my big brother who played with me, laughed with me, did math equations with me and helped me during our younger years. I will never forget what David was like. We will remember the wonderful dinner that you and Daivid cooked for us in September 2013, when we visited mom. It was wonderful. I have many vivid memories of my brother, David. Most are from our younger years. I will always remember the ones that both Tom and David got into which scared their kid sister. I will always remember the green worms event and carrying home the beer so they could drink the beer and I got the 2 cents from the bottle return. It is good none of us got into too much trouble.

Dear Grandma, Aunt Nan, and family,

I am very saddened to hear of Uncle David's passing. I will always have fond memories of him during my visits to Michigan when I was young where he took me fishing and to the baseball field for practice. Uncle David was a good and honest man with endless energy and who was completly devoted to his family. While he left 
us early, the generosity and kindred spirit he showed througout his life will remain in our hearts. May peace be with him in Heaven.

I got to know Dave Schhuelke in our work together at Herman Miller.  Dave really worked his best on many challenging projects for the good of our R&D team's contributions there.  Ever the UofM alum, he often showed those colors in good spirit, and demonstrated well his technical expertise on the many difficult engineering problems he tackled.  Through all of those challenges, Dave made many friends at work, and we all enjoyed his banter.  Dave frequently shared with loving pride about his family, and their various achievements ...parenting principles he had learned with his wife, of his daughters' outstanding academic performance, class projects he helped with, sporting outcomes that clearly he enjoyed sharing about, and of his son shooting record numbers of 'free-throws' in basketball.  Dave was always so proud of each of his children, he surely loved that stage of life.  Dave lived his faith, loved his family, and honored his work - we are saddened by this news of his passing, and our thoughts and prayers go out to Dave's family.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I worked with Dave at the Design Yard for many years.  We had great laughs at the lunch table.  He spoke highly of his family and their achievements.  Dave was truely a great person and will be missed.

Dear Nanette and Family,  My acquaintance with Dave was brief and casual - as a customer across the counter at Zoup.  Having read the Guest Book, my impression of Dave is validated by all of these much longer relationships recalled by family, friends and co-workers.  Dave was immediately recognizable as a good man who loved his family above all else, was a loyal Wolverine and who was open and approachable.  We talked football (his Wolverines, my Badgers) and family, especially our grandchildren.  He was proud of the work he had done at Howard Miller.  I sit in a chair he designed as I write this.  We formed an instant bond.  All of this, as he ladled soup.  Such a man he was - proud but humble, dignified but easy going.  Please accept my sincere sympathy.  I share in your loss.

The first time I met Dave was at Theresa's wedding. I leaned over to my mom, Sherilyn, and asked, "Who is the monopoly man?"  My mom laughed and told me it was Tom's brother Dave.  I loved his bowtie, and he reminded me of the guy from the monopoly game!  I had a wonderful time at Theresa's wedding talking with both Dave and Nan, we all laughed so hard, and have kept in contact since!


To David's family, please accept my sincerest condolences. Dave was so proud of you and spoke of you often.

Dave was a great guy who loved God, family, and people. I admired Dave for the fatherly love he expressed when telling stories about his kids. I'm  grateful to have had the privileged of getting to know Dave while working at Herman Miller. Peace in Christ.

As a colleage of David's while he was working at Herman Miller, I was saddened to hear of his passing.My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Dave was a person of integrity and an great engineer and familiy man.

My family and I are so sorry to hear about David's passing. We will keep you, Miss Collins (my former 6th grade teacher), and your entire family in our thoughts and prayers during this time.
