Snyder, Clare Dean aged 82, died on Friday, January 20, 2017. Clare was born in the summer of 1934 in Comstock Park to the late Charles and Adell Snyder. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Gene Snyder. He is survived by his wife Jann (Ford) Snyder and by his four daughters, Sue (Mike) Snyder, Jill (Charlie) Vidro, Char (Dave) Strouse and Beth Snyder; grandchildren, Erin (Adrian), Jessie, Alex, Charles, Devin, Brad; great grandchildren, Evelyn, Isaiah and Alisiana; sister, Noreen (Bill) Schansema; sister-in-law, Susan Ford Marschall and nieces, nephews and cousins. Clare proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1954-1958 and was a dedicated employee and retiree as an electrician with the City of Grand Rapids at the Coldbrook Pumping Station. He was an outdoorsman enjoying both hunting and fishing. Clare's family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Michigan for their kind care. A memorial gathering will take place at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
