Carol "C.J." Carol Jean Powers, age 68 of Port Isabel, TX formerly of Comstock Park, MI passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior on March 7, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father, Doy Gibson; mother & stepfather, Marie & Raymond Paxson; sister, Helen Gregorski; and granddaughter, Trisha Booher. She will be missed by her husband of 36 years, Charles Powers; daughters, Shawn Christie and Shanda Christie (Bill Ekberg); and 3 stepchildren; Deb (Alex) Ganzevoort-Ayala, Chris (Audra) Powers, Tony Powers; brothers, Jim (Etta) Carpenter, Ken (Pam) Gibson; sisters, Judi Keech, Theresa (John) Glass; many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, Adam (Amber) Simons, Cory Christie; and 6 great-grandchildren. Carol had a long career in sales and had a love of antiques and collectibles. She loved vacationing in Traverse City and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
