After a 15 year battle with multiple myeloma, Carol Botting passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Friday September 27. She is survived by her husband Dennis of 47 years, her son Sam, her daughter Sybil Vilchez, grandchildren Layla and Juno, and siblings Dianne Pohrt, Barbara Oppewall, and Peter Oppewall. She attended Calvin College, graduated from Aquinas and spent her career as a social worker for the state of Michigan. Services will be held Sunday October 13, Memorial Visitation 12-1PM, and Memorial Service at 1pm.
