Anthony "Tony" Robert Francik

Anthony “Tony” Robert Francik, age 79 of Grand Haven, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on August 21, 2022. He was born August 19, 1943 to Anton and Mildred (Ambrose) Francik in Grand Haven, MI.

Tony spent 35 years working for Grand Rapids Controls, starting at the shipping docks and working his way up to manager.

On June 6, 1964, Tony and Donna (Hoag) were married. They spent over 50 years together raising a family, welcoming grandchildren, and making each other laugh. Tony was a dedicated family man. He always attended his grandchildren’s games and school events. As they got older, he loved sharing his passion for playing golf and teaching them how to play.

Donna and Tony enjoyed traveling to anywhere with a beach such as Hawaii, Myrtle Beach, Panama City Beach, and California. They had adventures in their RV all over the south west, visiting the Grand Canyon and the Petrified Forrest.

Tony will be remembered for always cracking jokes, being helpful and generous to those around him, and being an overall great husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.

Tony is survived by his wife, Donna; children Melissa (Ray) Willman and Brian Francik; grandchildren Justin Willman, Brad Willman, Elizabeth Francik, and Hannah Francik; great-granddaughters Remington and Audrey; sisters Deloras Bradshaw and Janet Fletcher; and brother Terry Francik. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Jerry Francik.

A visitation will take place on Friday, August 26th from 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 27th at 2:00 p.m. with visiting half an hour prior.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tony’s name to the American Cancer Society.
