Annamae Baker, aged 83, passed from this world and into the arms of her Savior on Thursday, March 5, 2015. She was the beloved wife of Theodore “Ted” whom she married on Jan 31, 1953. He preceded her in death in 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Paula Baker and daughter-in-law BoaKame Baker. Ann was born in Joliet, Illinois on November 30, 1931 to John and Julia Vallerugo. Ann has 3 children, Roy Baker, Bruce (Betsy) Baker and Carla (Rich) Schoenborn, who love her dearly and whom she taught to live courageously, honestly, with integrity, and a sense of humor. Also surviving is her brother Tom (Gail) Maxwell, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and Ron Stanley, who will all greatly miss her. Ann will be remembered for wonderful piano playing as well as the times she enjoyed in her bowling club and in the birthday club with her friends. She retired from General Motors after 25 years of devoted service. Ann also often enjoyed wintering in Florida and travels in their fifth wheel. The family will be greeting friends on Monday, March 9, 2015 from 5-8 pm at Reyers North Valley Chapel. The service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held at 11am on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Reyers North Valley Chapel, with an additional visitation from 10-11am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association may be made in Ann’s honor.
