Thomas Allen Townsend, 88 , passed away March 20, 2015. Born on December 30, 1926 at the community of Chicota ,Lamar County, Texas.
Allen married Ophelia Kennedy on May 4, 1956. He was retired from the US Army and US Air Force. While in the Service, he served in the Pacific Theater during World War II.

Survived by his wife of 58 years, Ophelia Kennedy Townsend ; brother’s wife, Betsy Pridemore Townsend; brother, Stanley Eugene Townsend & wife Ruth Smith Townsend ; sister Rebecca Dell Townsend Stephens; twin brother & sister , William Sidney Townsend & wife Elaine Hanks Townsend and Willie Janette Townsend Fain ; children, son, Mark Allen Townsend & wife Pamela Hope Townsend; son, Derek Thomas Townsend & wife Judith Ann Townsend; grandchildren, Lana DeAnne Townsend Yancey & husband Mark Yancey, and Holly Blair Townsend Caudle & husband Newly Caudle, and Duane Aslin.
