Mark was a graduate of Grand Prairie High School class of 1977. He was active in choir and football, which he played on into college. He developed a passion for weightlifting that continued throughout his life and even into professional competition. Mark attended Texas Tech University and The University of North Texas as a health major and went on to graduate from DeVry with a degree in electronics. Not only did his career involve many facets of sales, his studies and talents enabled him to work at a problem until it was fixed, no matter the circumstance.
Mark met the love of his life, Lynette Swain Lagow in high school. They married on August 16, 1980, and would have celebrated 43 years this August.
Mark was a kind, generous man that always wore a smile and never met a stranger. His presence would fill a room with light, joy, and laughter. He had such a love for music, whether listening to or playing it. He taught himself how to play the guitar and piano and blessed us all with his talent and beautiful voice. Mark was a fabulous cook, whether at home, catering, or on his food truck, Roadies Smokehouse. Mark was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, great uncle, and cousin. His greatest joy was being a grandfather “Paw” to Kaden and being with his family. He was such a strong man and fought so hard to the end to be here with us and did it with such a positive outlook. He was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.
