Steve Johnson, 75, went to be with Jesus on July 9, 2016. He was born April 5, 1941 in Moline, Illinois to Hap and Jo Johnson. Steve graduated from Aurora University with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting. He was the State Director of GWTA Motorcycle Association. Steve was an Auxillary Policeman in Elgin, Illinois for ten years. He also coached little league and was an avid Chicago Bears and White Sox fan. Steve also liked working as an usher and in youth missions at The Woods United Methodist Church in Grand Prairie. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters, Phyllis, Barb, and Peggy.
Survived by: wife of 54 years, Marilyn Johnson; daughter, Lynn Silvers and husband Eddie; son, Brian Johnson and wife Jennifer; brother, Don Johnson and wife Jan; grandchildren, Steven, Katrina, James, Daniel, Syndgen, Aislinn, Julianna; great grandchildren, Erica, Cayden, Adalynn, Jackson, and Ryan; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 10:30 am to 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at The Woods United Methodist Church in Grand Prairie.
Service: 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at The Woods United Methodist Church.
