Shirley Jean Willingham (83) of Grand Prairie, TX passed away July 14, 2019 at her home in Grand Prairie. She was born to Bernie and Mary Haeck Wallace October 21, 1935 in Williamsburg, IA. Shirley married Preston Wayne Willingham March 30, 1957. Her career in the medical field spanned almost 40 years and included nursing and hospital administration. Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons David Wayne Willingham and his wife Lisa of Glenwood Springs, CO and Michael Lee Willingham and his wife Abigail of Grand Prairie, TX, grandchildren David Lee, Brian Wayne, Reilly Michael, Brooke Elizabeth and Caitlyn Danielle Willingham, Robert Wesley Holt and Jason Dean Seaton, great grandchildren Tayler Jean, Madison Lee, and Logan Wayne Willingham, brothers Bob and Wayne Wallace, and many dear friends. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Preston, son John, brother Dewey, and her parents. She is laid to rest with her husband at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 3pm, at First Missionary Baptist Church of Duncanville.
